A new project financed through EEA grants was finalized
The project Museum of Transylvanian Life was implemented between January 2015- April 2016 and it's part of the Programme RO 12 – Conservation and Revitalization of cultural and natural heritage.
The initiator of the project is Kalnoky Foundation, in partnership with INTBAU Scandinavia, and among the immediate results we can mention restauration and conservation of the Kalnoky Castle from Miclosoara (Covasna County) and arrangement of the Museum of Transylvanian Life.
The main objective of the project is the contribution to durable development of the "Center" Region through protection, restauration and capitalization of the cultural multi-etnic heritage, and the total value of the project is 5.182.674 Lei, the equivalent of 1.173.214 Euro.
Another important component of the project is referring to improvement of the quality of life for the inhabitants of Baraolt micro region, through consolidation actions and diversity of the professional capacity for 40 inhabitants, development and diversity of local economy, but also the improvement of the Roma population from Baraolt micro region. Last but not least, the project represents an excellent opportunity for strengthening the cultural, touristic and educational relations with Norway, through development of the experience exchanges and promotion of the good examples, with the help of the partner INTBAU Scandinavia, also a member of a prestigious european network in the european cultural heritage field.
The target group of the project is formed by members of the local community, but also scientific community, residence and transit tourists, business environment and NGOs.
The project will generate a serious alternative to what the region has to offer regarding the cultural and touristic areas.
