EFA launches call for proposals for potential beneficiaries of RONDINE Programme

Environment Fund Administration, as Programme Operator for "Renewable Energy RO06" - RONDINE, announces the opening of the call for proposals for potential beneficiaries.

Between March 20 and May 20, 2014, potential beneficiaries of the programme can submit their applications at EFA headquarters.

For hydropower component, eligible applicants are public or private commercial entities and for geothermal component eligible applicants are public or private commercial entities and/or local administrative units/authorities.

The allocated budget for this open call is 37.501.770 lei (equivalent to € 8.387.406). If Donor States will allocate additional resources, the maximum amount available may increase.

For public or private commercial entities the grant is up to maximum 50% of total eligible value of the project, and for Bucharest-Ilfov region it is allocated maximum 40% of total eligible value of the project.

For local administrative units/authorities the grant is up to 100% of total eligible value of the project.

Additional Information

The Environment Fund Administration has been designated Programme Operator on October 18, 2012, to promote the renewable energy use.

The programme has two components: hydropower and geothermal. The hydropower component aims to achieve initial investment and refurbishment of hydropower plants, with the purpose of extending the production capacity of electricity from renewable sources. The geothermal component aims to achieve initial investments and reengineering of the thermal energy production plant that use geothermal energy, for the purpose of extending (increasing) the capacity for thermal energy production from renewable sources.
