The Ministry of Economy, as Programme Operator funded through the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area (MF SEE) "EN 05 Energy Efficiency" announces the launching of call for proposals for funding through the EEA Grants, open from March 10 to May 9, 2014, 13:00.

The proposals submitted after the closing time and date (May 9, 2014 at 13:00) will NOT be considered.

Background information

The Ministry of Economy organized during February 10  and March 3, 2014 a series of four conferences presenting the Energy Efficiency Programme for SMEs in industry,  funded by EEA FM in Bucharest, Cluj, Timisoara and Iasi.

The donor countries, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, concluded with Romania the Memorandum of Understanding and the Ministry of Economy was designated as Programme Operator for the FM EEA Programme "Energy Efficiency", approved in October 1st, 2013

Funding Line: European Economic Area Financial Mechanism 2009-2014 (FM EEA)

General objective: Reducing greenhouse gas emissions and air pollutants.

Specific objective: Improving energy efficiency in industry, especially in industries with high pollution and energy consumption.

Expected results: Modernization of facilities and equipment to an estimated 20 SMEs in the industry to reduce energy consumption.

Total amount within the programme from FMEEA: 8,000,000 €

Cofinancing per programme: 1,411,765 €

Total value of programme: 9,411,765 €
