PROGRAMUL DE FINANŢARE RO 20 „VIOLENŢA DOMESTICĂ ŞI VIOLENŢA BAZATĂ PE DEOSEBIREA DE SEX” FINANŢAT DE REGATUL NORVEGIEI PRIN MECANISMUL FINANCIAR NORVEGIAN 2009-2014
– sesiune de informare –
Ministerul Justiţiei organizează în data de 14 februarie, cu începere de la ora 14.30, la sala de conferinţe Hila a Hotelui Minerva, situat în strada Gheorghe Manu 2-4, Sector 1, Bucuresti, o sesiune de informare în cadrul Programului de finanţare RO 20 „Violenţa domestică şi violenţa bazată pe deosebirea de sex" finanţat de Regatul Norvegiei prin Mecanismul Financiar Norvegian 2009-2014.
Sesiunea are drept obiectiv informarea celor interesaţi în cadrul apelului de proiecte lansat de Ministerul Justiţiei cu privire la ariile prioritare de finanţare, condiţiile de depunere a propunerilor de proiecte, aspecte privind eligibilitatea acestora, condiţiile financiare, procedura de evaluare şi selecţie etc., astfel cum sunt stabilite prin apelul de proiecte, ghidul aplicanţilor şi alte documente programatice.
Evenimentul va fi organizat de Ministerul Justiţiei, în calitate de Operator de Program, iar la acesta vor participa şi partenerii de Program desemnaţi de donori, respectiv Consiliul Europei şi Directoratul Poliţiei Norvegiene.
La eveniment sunt aşteptaţi să participe, în limita locurilor disponibile, reprezentanţi ai potenţialilor solicitanţi şi parteneri eligibili, respectiv ai instituţiilor publice din România cu atribuţii în domeniu, ai organizaţiilor non-profit şi non-guvernamentale înfiinţate ca persoane juridice în România şi ai organizaţiilor interguvernamentale cu atribuţii în domeniu care activează în România.

LAUNCHING OF THE PROGRAMMES FINANCED WITHIN THE NORWEGIAN FINANCIAL MECHANISM 2009-2014 FOR WHICH THE ROMANIAN MINISTRY OF JUSTICE IS PROGRAMME OPERATOR
The Romanian Ministry of Justice organizes on 14th of February 2014 in Bucharest, the launching conference of three programmes it manages in capacity of Programme Operator RO20 "Domestic and Gender-based Violence", RO23 "Correctional Services, including Non-custodial Sanctions" and RO24 "Judicial Capacity-building and Cooperation".
The conference will be attended by Mrs. Simona-Maya Teodoroiu, Secretary of State within the Romanian Ministry of Justice, Mr. Vidar Brein-Karlsen, Secretary of State within the Norwegian Ministry of Justice and Public Security, Her Excellency the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway in Bucharest, Mrs. Tove Bruvik Westberg, officials of the Ministry of European Funds and the Ministry of Public Finances, representatives of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway in Bucharest, of the donor programme partners - the Norwegian Police Directorate, the Council of Europe, the Norwegian Correctional Services, representatives of the project promoters and of the project partners.
The objective of the Programme RO20 "Domestic and Gender-based Violence" is to reduce the gender based violence in Romania and support the victims of trafficking in human beings.
Programme RO23 "Correctional Services, including Non-custodial Sanctions" aims at strengthening the administrative capacity of the Romanian penitentiary and probation systems, as well as at improving the detention conditions as well as the enforcement of non-custodial sanctions.
The objective of the Programme RO24 "Judicial Capacity-building and Cooperation" is to develop the capacity of the institutions within the Romanian judicial system in relation to the enforcement of the new judicial codes as well as to improve the citizens' access to justice.

LAUNCHING OF THE CALL FOR PROJECT PROPOSALS WITHIN THE PROGRAMME "RO20 DOMESTIC AND GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE" FUNDED BY THE KINGDOM OF NORWAY THROUGH THE FINANCIAL MECHANISM 2009-2014
The Ministry of Justice in Romania has launched a call for proposals within the Programme „RO20 Domestic and Gender‐based Violence" funded by the Kingdom of Norway through the Financial Mechanism 2009-2014 to be open between February 3 and April 16 2014.
The projects financed through the Programme will need to contribute to achieving the general objective of the Programme, respectively reducing domestic violence in Romania.
Within the framework of the Programme, the following priorities will be financed:

Supporting the network of units1 in the framework of the Law on domestic violence;

Awareness and sensitising activities;
-
Training activities for the professionals working in the field of domestic violence.
The eligible project promoters within the Programme, as extensively described in the Guidelines for applicants, are:

Romanian public institutions with legal attributions in the field;
-
Non-commercial and/or non-governmental organisations established as legal persons in Romania;
-
Inter-governmental organisations with legal attributions in the field operating in Romania.
The value of the grant a project promoter may receive depends on the call priority and it ranges between the minimum limit of 170.000 Euros and the maximum limit of 500.000 Euros, to which the co-financing of the beneficiaries can be added, under the conditions described in the Call for project proposals.
The deadline submitting the project proposals is April 16, 2014, postal date, or April 16 2014, 05.00 pm, in case of personal submission of the project proposal. Projects submitted after the deadline indicated above are not eligible.
The submission of the projects is possible throughout the whole period of the opening of the call and can be done personally, Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Registry of the Ministry of Justice situated in Apolodor Street, no. 17, district 5, Bucharest, postal code 050741 or by post office / courier at the same address.
The project proposals will be subject to the evaluation procedure in compliance with the requirements of the Regulation on the implementation of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2009-2014 and other programming documents available on the webpage dedicated to the program, http://norwaygrants.just.ro, section "Open Calls".
